27 x 54, unframed original pastel on mounted Lux Archival paper
Every painting has a story behind it. This one begins when Marc and Audrey Leishman asked if I could create a painting of Amen Corner for their annual event to help raise money for their Begin Again Foundation, whose mission is to support survivors of sepsis and toxic shock syndrome. How do I know them personally? My youngest had sepsis three times in 2021. The Leishman’s Foundation came alongside our family, transforming our seemingly unending fight for her life into a story of hope. More information can be found at

As a professional artist, it is vital to gather first-person observation, so when we won lottery tickets to the 2023 Women’s Amateur held at Augusta National, we jumped at the chance. I think I was the only person on the course who was drawing and painting. Near the end of the day, I noticed a large crowd. Intrigued, I wandered over to witness Rose Zhang sink her putt to win the playoff with Jenny Bae. My family, who are enormous golf fans, marveled at the irony that I was the only person in our group to see the winning shot.
I hope you will enjoy my rendition of the prettiest par 3 in all of golf!
