In this Plein air painting, I wanted to capture the glow of the light filtering through the autumn colors onto the babbling brook. Because the water was low, I could stand on stones in the middle to gain the viewpoint I wanted. It was peaceful to work and watch the swirling leaves as they fell. This was one of the last warm days where you could be outside without a jacket.
